This institution was started by late Sri. D. BASHKARAN, Ex-Deputy Mayor in the year 1979 in the name of Dr.Ambedkar, the champion of the downtrodden, to impart higher education particularly to the downtrodden and weaker sections of the Society.
The College has developed a lot in various fields, since its inception within a span of 3 decades, over eight thousand students have already availed the benefit of getting education from this institution. The College at present offers Pre-University, Degree Courses In Arts, Science, Commerce and Management Studies.
